General terms and conditions of business

A binding booking (rental agreement) for the apartment only exists when the deposit of 20% of the total cost without tourist tax has been received by us within 7 days of booking, the remaining amount must be received 14 days before arrival. If the time between booking and arrival is shorter, the payment terms will be agreed individually.

Changes to the contract require our written confirmation.

Please understand that pets are not allowed in all of our holiday apartments and smoking is not permitted in the apartment with the window open or on the balcony. In the hopefully unlikely event of non-compliance, this will constitute grounds for us to terminate the rental agreement without notice.

If the apartment or the inventory has any defects or damage, we ask you to report these immediately so that we can remedy the situation accordingly. Subsequent complaints that are not reported to us in a timely manner do not entitle you to a reduction in the rent. You must point out and replace any damage that you or your fellow travelers have caused.

The accommodation of additional persons is only possible after consultation with us and only if the total number of sleeping places is not exceeded.

The tourist tax in the winter months is €1.95, and in the summer months (May 1st to October 31st) €3.90 per person per day. Children up to 18 years of age are free. We are obliged to collect the tourist tax on behalf of the municipality.

The tourist tax is due upon arrival and can only be paid by debit card or cash, as we pass the tourist tax directly on to the municipality of Sylt and any additional costs on payment are at our expense.
